Aerobatics R Us
On Sunday last I was treated to a very special event: I got to ride in a vintage World War II open-cockpit that flew out of Arlington Airport. Once we acheived a certain elevation, the pilot took the T6 Texan through its paces, and the next thing I knew I was looking straight up at the sky and then down at the beautiful green fields of the valley --- we were upside down! We did several rolls and a couple of loops --- it was fantastic! I'd recommend this jaunt (The Great American Warbird Ride 1-800-759-5490) to anyone who wants to be dazzled and feel--- if just for a moment --- like you are suspended in mid-air!
